Another twitter name , I did not mention this morning on my last blog , was twitter @princess emsy ( the domestic princess ) who has tweaked things for me , I.e add some protein to me oat cake , and given me some great fitness advise , full of wonderful motivational help for me , I thankyou too so much xx

BeatTheBinge update

I haven’t written on my blog in a while , as I now post all of my daily food choices and weigh in’s on my twitter account , ” Beatthebinge ” and yes I can hand on heart say , I have changed I no longer binge ! I can not believe it is me saying this.

Since last November , on the 7th November , when I woke up with my light bulb moment , of I have a v v v bad food addiction , and I have done for many years , and no exercise classes or slimming clubs like weight watchers or slimming world , are going to help me , a) they don’t teach you how bad sugar is , and b) they say low fat foods are good ,  they are full of toxins , and c) been given daily points or max number of calories a day to use, used to bring my panic attacks to the fore , the anxiety of nearly used your points, and still wanted to eat more made me extremely anxious .

on the 7th November at 11 stone and 9lbs, I knew it was time to change, my light bulb moment was to first admit I had an addiction, and I didn’t want to do this to family yet or my close friends (my friends who just say you always look wonderful you don’t need to loose weight, hello this is no help ! ) so I took the very brave step of setting up a twitter and a blog to admit my addiction !!!!

and that If I blog and show you every meal or snack and drink I have in the day , I can not cheat , I have followers , watching my every move, surely this will work , this will be the motivation to keep me on track , and yes , it has don’t just that ! My Twitter followers have been a godsend ,I have fantastic followers, and I try to reply to every single one of their tweets to me , not as a duty, but because I love to inspire others too , and if I can do this so can others !

However the main , turning point in my life, and the reason for my success , is I discovered , after having read somewhere that the beautiful Elle McPherson , goes to Bodyism , and does their 14day kick start diet every time she needs to get back on track etc… , I thought sounds good , I googled Bodyism , and my life snowballed , I bought their cleanandlean book !! and was transfixed every single word in their book , inspired me , every single word is so so true , its all in this book , this is how to live your life, this is how you should be for the rest of your life , keeping it clean , get rid of those toxins , get rid of stress that holds on to toxins ! I then went on to buy the other 2 Cleanandlean books (Bodyism , James Duigan ) and the books have become my daily bibles , even if I re read a page aday, I am taking in more and more information .

The switch has defiantly flicked in my mind, so from November to the New year I slowly each week dropped average 1lb a week, I didn’t need to loose loads of weight, as long as I was learning each week, to tweak my daily foods, add as much cleanandlean into my day, then I couldn’t loose, as long as the scales were slowly going down not up, then I wasn’t stressed, I was just enjoying adjusting my eating habits.

I stopped going to exercise classes as I am a huge lover of them, however I used to sometimes do 3 or even 4 classes a week, but come home and binge 3-4 bags of crisps, you know the scenario once a binger if you binge once in the day, you may as well carry on the rest of the day binging, it was the thought of, do exercise need more food to compensate the work out, so I don’t feel faint.

I never ever experienced feeling full, it just never registered, and I just ate and ate, and tried to exercise and exercise, not a good combination.

With cleanandlean , they tell you you can get fit with a 8 minute work out a day , which is in their books or on the bodyism website , so I have don’t just that , my days exercise is now , a nice 30 minute walk , or the 8 minutes they advise, or a nice swim , or the odd 20 minute yoga DVD at home , all very gentle , so that my main thoughts are on perfecting my cleanandlean food .

on Friday the 17th February 2012 , a few of my Twitter supporters suggested why don’t we try the 14day kick start cleanandlean diet , which is on the bodyism website , under the skinny jeans article , so on Saturday 18th February having been to the shop to buy in my cleanandlean groceries I started my 14 day kick start !!

The results have been incredible ! I lost 6lbs in the first week , so so shocked I was happily plodding along with my 1lb loss or keeping the same , and I am today on day 11 of the kick start plan , am currently weighing 10stone 9lbs , ( I have lost a whole stone since I confessed my food addiction back in November )

I feel over the moon! I am the happiest I have been maybe ever, or certainly for a very long long time! I am 5 foot 6, and pre children I was 8 stone 10 ish, at my age (40 this year) it will be interesting to see what my weight will continue to drop to and where it will eventually plateau, I am hoping for around the 9 stone, I am certainly not after being a silly weight, just the right weight for my build and height.

Soon I will add in a little bit more exercise , and go to the odd classes maybe once or twice a week , the rest of my exercise will be gentle , you don’t need to go hammer and tong, I now know my main happiness is from keeping my food and drink “Cleanandlean “
